J Q Supermarket and Julian’s Supermarket is Now Super J
J Q Supermarket has been in St Lucia for a long time. A few years after, Julian’s Supermarket came into existence and has been in business for over a decade and is owned by a local business man named Michael Chastnet. In 2005, J Q supermarket and Julian’s supermarket merged and the two supermarkets became Consolidated Foods Ltd. Later in January of 2006, the name changed from consolidated foods to Super J.

These two supermarkets have been the leading supermarkets on the island and the merger makes them a greater force to reckon with. If you’re looking to do some grocery shopping in St Lucia, I recommend that you shop at Super J. They carry a wider range of products than any other supermarket on the Island. As a matter of fact, this is where I do my grocery shopping every month. You may choose from their wide variety, from fruits and vegetables to cosmetics, toiletries, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, local ground provisions and so many other products. They also sell top choice meats, dairy and they also have an in store pharmacy that can handle your prescriptions and other Pharmaceutical needs. Whiles staying in St Lucia on your vacation, honeymoon or business, you can shop at JQ or Julian’s and drastically cut costs on your food bill down here. You can find J Q supermarket and Julian’s outlets in almost every district and they all carry the same merchandise at very reasonable prices. There is also Eroline Foods located in Soufriere which falls under the same management as Super J. If you’re looking to buy goods in wholesale then you can visit Big J’s located in Cul de Sac. They carry almost everything you can think of but sell them only in bulk. You would need to get a Big J’s card by visiting their establishment, applying and purchasing a card for a small fee. If you’re willing to try those scrumptious St Lucia recipes, you will be able to find those things you need in order to cook it, and besides, there is no better place to prepare those St Lucia dishes than in St Lucia itself. If you’re not sure of something, you can always find out from a local resident.
