Travel To St Lucia Vacation Guide

Travel to St Lucia is straightforward and very convenient. No matter where you live you should have no problem getting there. Every week, BWIA flies from Miami and New York.

If you want to come to St Lucia via Puerto Rico, American Eagle can facilitate you. Everyday American Eagle flies into George Charles airport (located in the City of Castries) from the island of Puerto Rico. The airline also makes daily flights from St Lucia back to Puerto Rico. Twice weekly, US Airways flies direct to and from Philadelphia.

Travel to st Lucia

If you're looking to leave from Canada, you can fly from Toronto or Montreal via the ever popular Air Canada. In case you need to travel to St Lucia from London, you have a choice between BWIA, Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.

Traveling from New York is nothing but a breeze, thanks to the services of Air Jamaica. You can take a connecting Delta Airlines flight from as many as 23 US gateways to New York, and travel to St Lucia via Air Jamaica.

Delta Airlines also makes it very convenient to fly between St Lucia and London, and St Lucia and Manchester via Montego Bay Jamaica.

In case you're interested in chartered flights, you should be able to find flights from Frankfurt, Toronto, London and other Caribbean islands, particularly in the peak of the tourist season, between the months of November and March.

So it is quite evident that you shouldn't have any problems getting to Saint Lucia, no matter where you live. Just check one of the airlines mentioned here, depending on where you're coming from, and get ready to travel to St Lucia in style and comfort.

Travel between St Lucia and the other islands of the Caribbean is facilitated by airlines such as LIAT, Caribbean Star, BWIA, and Air Caraibes. You can choose to travel by sea through the services of companies such as L'Express Des Isles. L'Express Des Isles makes it very convenient to travel between Martinique and Saint Lucia.

You can also travel to St Lucia via cruise ship. Many cruise lines such as Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean come to St Lucia many times a week particularly between November and March. They normally make many stops in the Caribbean in islands such as St Thomas, Barbados, St Kitts, Aruba, the Bahamas, and so on.

It's often necessary to fly to Puerto Rico to catch the ship. Alternatively many of these ships sail from Miami and Fort Lauderdale. They usually dock in St Lucia from about 8 am and leave at about 5 pm.

If you're looking to travel to St Lucia by yacht, you will find moorings at Moorings Marina, Rodney Bay Marina and the Castries Yacht Centre.

If you're coming by plane, you would arrive either at the Hewanorra International Airport or the George FL Charles Airport. The Hewanorra International Airport is located in the south of the island (Vieux Fort), while the George FL Charles Airport is located in the north (Castries).

Citizens of the US or any Commonwealth country would need to present a birth certificate, a photo ID or passport and a return or onward ticket. Visitors of these countries do not require visas to enter Saint Lucia.

A departure tax of EC$68 or US$27 is required to be paid by non-nationals when leaving St Lucia. Credit cards are not accepted.
