Big Chef Stake House for The Best Stake
Big chef stake house St Lucia is located in the heart of the Rodney Bay village opposite Dominos Pizzeria. It is known for its great food and wonderful hospitality. I have dined at this restaurant personally and I speak from experience when I say that it is a fabulous place to eat when you come to our little island paradise. I was taken to the Big Chef Stake House restaurant for the first time with my colleagues Daya and Uranda and my boss Heather; this was kind of a reward given to us by her for doing a great job on a business program. It was a new experience for me but it was a wonderful eye opener because i was never a fan of eating stake. Whiles deciding on what to have for appetizers, we had drinks. We all had white Russians and Heather had her favorite drink vodka with cranberry juice. The people who work there were friendly and genuinely interested in making our stay there, one that we would not soon be soon forget. The small but warm atmosphere of the restaurant added to the ambiance that is Big Chef Steak House. There were people of all ethnicity at the Big Chef stake House but the one thing that was the same was that you could see smiles on the faces of all the people there. We had a few laughs while waiting for our appetizers. Daya and Uranda had shrimp cocktail whiles I had ravioli with tomato sauce and Heather had a rice platter with scallions. Believe me when I tell you that everything looked and smelt fabulous. The food spoke for itself. There was a variety of different dishes on the menu ranging from appetizers to the main course listing … which compasses steaks ranging from sirloin steaks to 32 ounce steaks. There is actually a challenge at the restaurant called the Big Chef Challenge. Anyone who is able to eat the 32 ounce challenge gets a 4 ounce steak free. Believe me for those of you who don’t know that is a pretty big steak. Not many people have ever been able to eat that much meat in one sitting. But boy is it fun to watch!! We all had sirloin steaks, well done with a baked potato and sour crème and grilled shrimp for our main course and of course more drinks. The steaks were properly seasoned and well cooked. You can also have your steaks rare to medium rare. One of the few places in St Lucia were you can actually find beef prepared that way. Although everything about our meal was wonderful, the thing I loved the most was the dessert. Everyone who knows me knows about my one true LOVE: cheesecake. I had cheesecake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I have had my fair share of cheesecake in this world but the cheesecake I ate at Big Chef Steak House was; I had to admit the best I have ever had. It was light but flavorful and had the classic taste of homemade cherry cheesecake. I still think about that cake, especially at the times when I really feel for a great piece of that cake. Daya and Uranda decided to have chocolate and vanilla ice cream while Heather had German chocolate cake. Everyone enjoyed every crumb of their dessert but since I was taking my sweet time enjoying mine they all decided to help me against my better judgment. In the final analysis they all decided that I had the best dessert of them all. The evening ended with us having to unzip our pants and slouch in our chairs since we were so full. It was not just the food but the whole experience that is the Big Chef Steak House.
