Cas En Bas Beach Vacations

Before I actually visited Cas En Bas beach, there seem to be this hype going around about this beach. Even my brother visited it and was telling me how nice it was and we should visit sometime.

Well, although that sounded interesting to me, I never went. I guess it was the fact that he told me that I needed a 4x4 vehicle and my car would not be able to reach. For me, walking to a beach was definitely not an option and all my friends also had cars so I just forgot about it altogether.

It was not until three year later when some friends of mine decided to have a cooking competition at the Cas En Bas beach that I finally decided to go. And guess what, it was a vegetarian cook out.

Now I had never in my life heard of that before. What exactly is a vegetarian cook out? I thought a cook out was about chicken wings and bouillon and that kind of stuff. Well, I thought to myself, if it’s a challenge I can’t back down.

The day came and I was packed and ready to go. I must say the road was really in a deplorable condition even after three years but I was able to make it with my car.

I could not believe the size of the hotel I saw there just before I got to the beach. Although it was still under construction, the architecture was remarkable. Do I even live in St Lucia? I thought to myself.

When I finally got on the Cas En Bas beach, I couldn’t help but realize that there was part of a rocket booster that must have fallen from the sky a few years ago and landed there on shore and just marveling at how beautiful this beach was.

This beach is almost a mile long. Some of us could not even fight off the urge to get into water. I was able to walk a few hundred feet out and the water was still reaching me waist height. I almost forgot that we came there for a cooking competition.

If you plan on visiting Cas En Bas beach, the entrance is opposite to the Gros Islet town intersection. It is definitely a good place for a family picnic or if you want a romantic setting. There is a restaurant right on the beach so you can choose the option of leaving your hotel room with nothing.

This day way one of the most thrilling experience for me. Although I have not been there in a few months, I plan on making this beach my personal chill out spot, so guess what, we may just cross paths one day if you do decide to visit Cas En Bas beach. I can personally tell you that you will enjoy every moment spent there.
