Malabah Beach Vacations

I have gone to several beach picnics and parties at Malabah beach. It is one of those secluded beaches in St Lucia, although there are other beaches that are more secluded than it is, so you will not find too many persons on this beach.

There were times when I went there everyday after riding my bicycle with my brothers. That was one of my favorite past time and it used to be allot of fun to. It was just my way of allowing my body to relax after my exercise routine. I can probably give credit to this beach for me learning how to swim.

The waters of Malabah beach are very calm and inviting. There is absolutely no way you can go there and not end up in the waters. There were times when I drove there just to relax because it is a very peaceful, beach but some how I ended up in the water having fun and enjoying it.

I thought it was only happening to me but my brothers and some friends have also reported it having the same effect on them. My advice to walk with a change of clothes just in case you are lured into it like I usually am.

The water is not so clear if you are close to shore so if you want to snorkel because the sand is very fine and golden brown so you may have to go out a bit.

There may not be much to see while snorkeling but I have found watching the fishes as they swim by quite entertaining and amusing. I’ve tried to hold some with my hand but I have not been successful so far.

One of St Lucia’s most popular hotels for couples “Rendezvous” is built directly on this beach so that may give you an indication as to how lovely this beach is. "Perfect for a romantic outing".

If you plan to go there a day, you may want to bring your own food because there are no restaurants on the beach. If you don't want to walk with food, take a walk back to the main road, you will see a few stalls selling food items. If you cross the road, there is a restaurant that sells food during the week at the Americas shopping mall.

How do you to get to Malabah beach?

There are two entrances to the beach. The first one is close to the Vigie round about. When you get to the Vigie round about, turn left and continue straight until you get to the beach. When you get there, you will notice the beach continuing both on your left and on your right. The one that continues on you left is called Vigie beach and the one on you right is called Malabah beach.

As you walk the beach you will notice the Rendezvous hotel there. For the other entrance, you have to continue driving until you get the first unpaved road on your left. You should drive slowly because it is very easy to miss it. If you are seeing the home Depot building then you have already passed the gap and you would have to drive up until you get to the next round about to come back down.

When you get there, you will see one building to your left and one that is burnt down on your right.

I hope you enjoy Malabah beach as much as I do and you come back to let us know about it and also your St Lucia vacation story.
