Best St Lucia Attractions

So which is your favorite of all the St Lucia attractions?

That a question that has been asked to me several times. I often get emails asking the same question. The truth is, there are so many attractions in St Lucia it is hard to decide or choose one that is your favorite.

You may also wish to visit all the St Lucia attractions. Is it possible? Of course it is, but it will take you several days to accomplish that so please plan on staying in St Lucia a few days if you want to visit several attractions.

When you decide to visit the many attractions here, you will soon find out that some of them will have you going off the beaten path. Those paths can be found at the top of mountains or somewhere hidden in a forest.

If you are looking for St Lucia attractions to visit, we will seek to answer those questions by showing you some of the very popular attractions here in St Lucia.

St Lucia Volcano - This is probably the most popular attraction in St Lucia and there is a special reason for that. This volcano is the only drive-in volcano in the world. There are several pots of boiling water that are above the normal boiling point and many colors at the surface as a result of sulfur, iron, calcium oxide, copper oxide, magnesium, carbon and other mineral deposited there. You can also bathe in the therapeutic pools.

The St Lucia Pitons – The pitons are the only of its kind in the world. In Fact it has received world heritage site status proving its uniqueness. It is very picturesque and you will find several persons wanting to take photos of it. Hiking on those twin picks has become a very popular sport to both visitors and local.

St Lucia Waterfalls – There are many waterfalls in St Lucia so this is also very popular. You can find water falls all over the island but most of them are found towards the south. An attraction tour is not complete without visiting one of those waterfalls.

St Lucia Scuba Diving – As surprising as this may seam, allot of St Lucia’s beauty is hidden under water. Several scuba divers have confirmed that the real beauty of St Lucia lies underneath the ocean. St Lucia has several dive sites so if you are interested in diving, you will be happy with all those options available to you.

Turtle watching – It is definitely a wonderful site to see the turtles come on shore to lay their eggs. There are three species of turtles that nest in St Lucia; they are the green turtle, hawksbill turtle and leatherback turtle. There are special guided tours that take you there are tell you all about them.

St Lucia Beaches – This one is probably my favorite of them all. There are several magnificent beaches in St Lucia. All I do sometimes is bring along my snorkel gear, frolic in the sun or play a few games if I go with my family. What do you want to do?

St Lucia Tours - What do the many St Lucia tours entail? Adventure by Jeep safari, Nature and other special interest, helicopter excursions, zip lining, ATV tours, Rain forest sky rides, tours of the south (drive in volcano, piton viewing, Soufriere rain forest hikes etc), activities at sea, trips to other neighboring islands, mountain bike hikes, snorkeling, scuba diving, visiting several historic sites just to name a few.

St Lucia Fishing - St Lucia Fishing is really exciting and fun filled. St Lucia has become very popular for its Bill fishing tournament every year around the months of September. Visitors and locals alike sail out to catch the largest Blue Marlin fish.

Food and Rum Festival - St Lucia food and rum festival has many admirers, because it is the only festival of its’ kind that is as beloved among chefs and food critics alike. Not to mention, the people who just love good St Lucian and international cuisine.

St Lucia Hiking There are several hiking trails in St Lucia. These tours are coordinated by the St Lucia National Trust and the St Lucia Forestry Department. On some of these St Lucia hiking trails, you will have the opportunity to see the national bird, a breath taking view of the tallest mountain in St Lucia, mount Gimie and the forestry reserves.
