Best St Lucia Fishing Vacation Guide

St Lucia Fishing is really exciting and fun filled. I can still remember my very first experience when I went fishing. That is approximately ten years ago and I am still thrilled at my experience.

Even as a little boy, I have always marveled at the skills and techniques of the fishermen. Some of my closest friends were also very good at fishing, so they would take me on their fishing expeditions but I was always reluctant to trying it out myself.

I came out of my shell when my brothers decided that they wanted to go fishing. So although I was not good at fishing, I decided to join in to see what all the excitement about fishing was.

On that day, my most memorable experience fishing in St Lucia was created. I caught my first fish. After almost ten years, I still receive jokes about this because although I had seen my friends do it several times; I panicked out of fear of not knowing what to do after I caught the fish.

Who would have ever thought that such a small fish would have had so much strength? What a relief when my brother came to my rescue to remove the fish from my line.

But I must admit to you, everything became simple from then on, well that was as soon as I got over my phobia.

Sport fishing may not be for everyone, but if you love fishing, whether you are a professional or a novice, St Lucia creates the perfect environment for you to fish.

In fact, St Lucia has become very popular for its Bill fishing tournament every year around the months of September. Visitors and locals alike sail out to catch the largest Blue Marlin fish.

By now you are probably wondering, how in the world you will be able to do St Lucia fishing? Well St Lucia has several fishing services that take you out to fish, enjoy whale watching, snorkel or explore the Island by boat.
