Stuck In Piaye

Last year my young cousin told me he would take me Micoud to see what the festivities were like....i decided to see our Monrepos celebration before going to Micoud..just then he came along singing anyone ready to go around the island?

I hopped in to the car and next thing you know we were in Grand Riviere in the crowd,eating great food out of calabashes and looking for double bubble...two or three hours later we were in Canaries...and then about 6 pm we headed to Micoud only we did not cater for Piaye.

Well the approach to that town/village took more than two hours ..the celebration there seems to have taken to the street and traffic was at a virtual stand still...we did get to Micoud but about 8 pm.

This year i am confined to my village but it should still be great since our village puts great store on the local things and we even have a folk museum....
