Vigie Beach Vacation
The Vigie beach is located in Castries. Right next to it is the George Charles airport, St Lucia’s second largest airport. It is the largest beach in the Castries basin and even arguably the longest patch of beautiful golden sand beach on the island.

This beach is usually empty on week days but filled with locals on Sundays and holidays since it’s the ideal place to spend the day with your family and friends. Vigie beach St Lucia has warm sunshine, beautiful blue water and great big almond trees, sea grape and coconut palm trees to provide a shade from the sun for basically the whole day. Hey, but if a tan is what you’re look for; don’t feel disappointed because the shade does not cover the whole beach. When I normally think of this beach, I normally think of it as a romantic place. Maybe it’s because I’ve spent a lot of time there with my wife. We normally go there on picnics and sometimes staying in the car while the sun sets. There is just something about being with the one you love while the sun sets. An interesting place to visit while you are in Vigie is the Vigie light house. It was built in 1914 and continues to serve crafts that utilize the Castries harbor. It can be reach by taking a short walk up the hill or you may choose to hire a taxi to take you there. There is a wonderful view of the Castries harbor and even as far as the north from there. This place is perfect for a picnic. If you plan to visit the Vigie beach, you can do one in two things when it comes to eating. You can choose to either come with your picnic basket or go to the airports restaurant. Just remember to cover up if you do decide to visit the airport restaurant.
