Which is your favorite of all the waterfalls of St Lucia?

I still have not figured out which one is my favorite of all the waterfalls of St Lucia. Maybe you can tell me which one is your favorite. St Lucia is definitely blessed with a variety of waterfalls. They vary from cold water to warm or even hot waterfalls. You can find one in almost every district on the island. Most waterfalls and springs can be found in Soufriere.

If you love nature and relaxation, do not leave St Lucia if you did not visit at least one waterfall. You’ll be happy to have visited a St Lucia waterfall. You can find them on nature trails to the rain forest or somewhere hidden in the country side. Some are cascading from great heights while others are only a few feet tall. One thing is for sure, you will enjoy a day at any of those waterfalls of St Lucia.

One of the waterfalls of St Lucia that has grown to be the most popular of them all is the diamond waterfall. You can’t bathe under this waterfall but there are warm water mineral pools where you can enjoy a bath. The water is said to have age defying qualities to make even the aged look and feel young again. Once you’re in the water there is no telling what time you are going to get out. It is so tempting; you may end up staying the whole day.

The water is always warm coming from the foot of the Sulphur Springs (drive-in volcano) which is by the way the only one of its kind in the world. It is located in the picturesque town of Soufriere. Other waterfalls found in Soufriere are the Piton falls, Toraille falls, Coubaril falls, Spike waterfall and the New Jerusalem waterfall.

Toraille Falls

Cascading from an approximate height of 50 feet, the Toraille falls is indeed wonderful. It has in fact, been accepted as one of St Lucia’s nature heritage sites. Many tourist go there on a daily basis. You can also find locals who escape and come to this water fall to clear their mind for the up coming week of work. It is found in Soufriere, easily accessed from the main road, on your way to the Fond St Jacques rain forest.

Piton Falls

There is no telling why this waterfall is called piton falls. The water from it does not come from the world famous pitons; however, it may be because it is on the way to one of the pitons (petit piton). But who knows, many things in Soufriere are associated with these pitons. You can get there when you’re on your way to St Lucia Hilton (Jalousie). The water is always warm and refreshing no matter what time of the day you go there. The water comes from about 30 feet in the air and falls into a pool where people normally bath. The entrance fee is only US$2 and is worth every bit of it.
