Where do i buy regular every day foods?

by Bridgett
(Colorado U.S.A.)

My fiancé and I are coming to St. Lucia in March. We are renting a time share so obviously are going to have to buy food for the week. Where is the best place to get local and more familiar foods?

Local Foods

You can always check the Castries market for local foods. You will find the widest range of local produce in the market.

Food Stores
by: Brad

We are in the Rodney Bay area in a self-catering apartment. There is a pretty good Supermarket called Super J (IGA) in the marina "mall". They have a decent selection of food, but are often out of things for a while. We bought some strip steaks there a couple of days ago and they were excellent. Don't think it's like a USA supermarket, but it is better than the local groceries. Fruits and vegetables are easily and more cheaply purchased from locals.

Hope it helps!
