Yachting In St Lucia

Yachting in St Lucia can be a remarkable experience, one you will never forget. St Lucia has proved to be the perfect destination. With so many lovely beaches, spectacular sunsets, there is certainly a reason why sailors fall in love with St Lucia all the time.

You no longer have to wonder and daydream of sailing in sparkling blue waters of the Caribbean or about whale watching, waterskiing, windsurfing and scuba diving because it all can be done on the island of St Lucia.

The World cruising club contributes every year to the industry which is an important part of St Lucia’s tourism industry. This is definite proof of world class standards which the island upholds.

Rodney Bay is now established as the home of the Atlantic Rally for cruisers in the Caribbean. Every year in the month of November, over 200 yatchs sail across the Atlantic from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary islands to Rodney Bay marina, St Lucia. Yachts vary from 30ft to 100ft and sail for approximately 3,000 miles. It began in 1986 and has become the most popular way to cross the Atlantic.

St Lucia has two marinas. The Rodney Bay Marina and Marigot Bay Marina.

The Rodney Bay Marina caters to the needs of all yachtsmen. There are facilities like bearthing docks, mechnical, paint, fiberglass and machine shops, banks, restaurants, boutiques and lot more. It is also in close prximity to night life and hotels.
